I saw the Pride of the Southland at the 07 Outback Bowl (when I was in high school) and this drill was spectacular. Having them and the Penn State band battling it out in the stands was unforgettable. All the high school bands did a mass band halftime show after Penn State and Tenn took the field.

West Virginia's Simple Gifts circle drill is sooooo awesome! One of the best pregame shows in the nation, next to Troy that is.

I always appreciate "old school" drill. That kind of marching took a LOT of work and precision. I wish bands still did this at times at least during halftime.

Texas A&M Fightin Aggie Band is another EXCELLENT marching machine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbpcTv2GOw8

I preface this remark by admitting that I know nothing of the technical aspects regarding marching bands. Having said that, as a spectator, I prefer the Script Ohio drill to the circle drill. Not that there is anything substandard about the Tennessee drill. JMO

IMO, Scrpit Ohio IS more difficult to execute and design as a musician. As a spectator it's more impressive to see. :)
