Derrick Moore. He was a great player for us. Back up to Barry Sanders in Detroit for 4-5 seasons, then had one good year starting for Carolina. Big strong fast. Nice guy, too I remember he was very religious, and in one of the church groups on campus when I was there.
Can't believe I left off Mule. I was just talking about him two days ago. If Coach Blakeney had Derrick in his early years, the Mule would have racked up some huge numbers. Great running back that should have gotten the ball more in the Maddox years. Backed up some stiff named Barry Sanders in Detriot.
Eddie Coleman was a great slashing back and Dime was able to pull rabbits out of his hat.
Also agree with big Reggie at TE. Wish he had put more effort into staying in shape for the NFL, but he was an amazing TE at Troy State.
Here's to old Troy State, we are with you all the way!
He literally dove into the endzone over a defender from the 5. Mule was fast, big and yes, he was a humble Christian.
OL - Bob Hall
QB - Jeremy Rowell
Pratt Lyons was a tremendous player. He played for the Titans for a few years but, unfortunately, suffered career ending injuries in an auto accident if I recall correctly.
Kerry Jenkins! We may never have an O-line as good as the one with he, Hall, Teddy and the others
Tyler Clark on the O-line
How about Willie Tullis - QB; Virgil Seay - WR (former Smurf!)
Didn't see anybody mention QB Omar Haugabook #17!
