Default When LB's ready to Retire

I was just thinking today about LB one day retiring, and I support LB 100% even with the tough start to this season. I don't always agree with the way the games are coached, but that's why he makes the big bucks and I pay $20 to come watch and play Monday morning quarterback. Anyway, I was just wondering when that day comes and LB hangs up the whistle, could we be the next destination for the head coach at North Alabama? Just curious what everyone else's thoughts are on that? Seems someone of that calibur would be a good fit to move us to the next level at some point, but hey, maybe I'm just crazy......feel free to chime in.

Interesting choice there....we will see how he does with their program that is already good. He is disliked by a lot of people, but does have quite a bit of fans.

I had the same thoughts about this, yesterday.

IMHO we should find a Defensive coach with significant 1A experience. Vic Koenning would be great (currently co-DC at Kansas State).

I think TB would be a good candidate when that day comes. It would certainly cause a stir! I think he probably has his sights on a larger stage ( BCS conference ) one day. Buster Brown vs Schnelly...that would be interesting.

Vic was good...if you're going after old Troy DCs, why not approach Wayne Bolt in Auburn, surely he'll get tired of being an administrator and not a coach soon...

    Default Coaching Muse

    Yuck...

I hope we wouldn't choose TB. I definitely got enough of that guy when he used to coach in the state.

    Again, yuck.

    Default Terry Bowden

Terry Bowden will retire (again) before Larry Blakeney does. LB is gonna be like Joe Pa calling plays up in the Stadium Club seats.
