Our first All-American (1939) and first NFL player. With all the talk about the best TROY player I was just curious about him. Where was he from? Where did he live... etc?

Does anybody know? I think that he may have lived in Pensacola. There is conflicting information about where he was from.

If my dad were still alive, I'd ask him...he played on the same team in 1939 and I remember him talking about him and other players...Sherrill Busby JR worked at Troy in the mid 70s when I was a student there...

According to that ***, Mr. Ho, Busby blocked 4 kicks in one game versus Memphis! 4 kicks! Come on, that has to be a record.

Can you hear the Memphis coach after he blocked the 3rd kick? "I don't care who else blocks the kick, just don't let that Busby fellow be the one"!
