I find it hilarious that people from a rural town in ALABAMA would pass off pictures like this (that were probably taking in Alabama or a neighboring state...) on a school 60 miles west of Chicago.

Dude....do you really think that people like this are not on the streets of Chicago?

Most of the alumni don't live in Troy, NIU92. In fact a lot of us live in towns (like Huntsville, AL) with higher IQ's than the whole state of Illinois. We probably bring home more income as well.

Hey dude - We like it in rural south Alabama, we drive pick-up trucks, hunt and fish on a regular basis, love coon dogs (you can see a High Class coon dog if you are Auburn vs Tennessee - note Smokey) and let them ride up front, and some of us removed the "Wide Load" signs from the north end of our homes years ago and are house payment free - you couldn't put most of us in a sack and take us to Illinois, and if a moron moved from Alabama to Illinois it would raise the IQ in both states.
I'm to old to drink Tennessee sipping whiskey any more but I'd bet you ain't nothing that good up there - not to mention High Class coon dogs.

Hey NIU - just so you don't get the wrong idea about my last post - my Silverado is less than a year old and cost $32,000 - bet you drive a leased disguised cow turd.

Listen 59:

Don't put us all in your diatribe. Most do not agree with the statement about Hunting, Fishing, and sorry ass dogs you own. Secondly, I don't give a damn about your truck and neither does anybody other than you and the banker. Don't include me in your "WE" and think that you speak for the masses in Alabama!

Agreed...I don't hunt...but doesn't mean I'm against deer hunting...less of them to run out in front of me while on the highway...and I don't care about your truck either, I prefer sports cars!

to uglypeople.com owner - I wouldn't include your sorry ass in a damned thing - why don't you get off this messgae board if you have to bad mouth people, or else ignore what you don't like - last I don't believe you ever attended Troy State - you probably dropped out of school after the 3rd grade.

Coon dogs are not a part of the vocabulary up here. However, I would like to go hunting some day. I've never been. Many of the guys in the Chicago area escape to Wisconsin to hunt/fish.

You just lost the IQ battle the minute you started comparing auto payments... Let me fill you in on something - vehicles are depreciating assets (meaning they lose their value over time). A home, on the other hand, is an appreciating asset (meaning they increase in value over time). Perhaps they didn't teach you that in your Economics 101 class at Troy State.

There are plenty of morons up here cruizing around in expensive cars (who cannot afford them and live in rented apartments or dumpy houses), the only difference up here is that the stakes are higher. Instead of Chevy Silverado's, they are Range Rovers, Escalades and BMW's. You'd have a hard time buying or servicing a Mercedes, BMW or Range Rover in rural Alabama. Buying a vehicle is an easy way to attempt to appear well off even when you are not. I'm not suggesting that you are not well off, I'm suggesting that the premise of your wealth arguement (stemming from a $32,000 truck) is counter-productive. I know your Troy peers are gnashing their teeth right now because you don't help their cause.

BTW, do you have one of those really cool stickers on your truck with the guy pissing on a Ford logo? Or perhaps a "Fear This" sticker... Or my favorite, the guy grabbing his balls and flipping the bird. Classy!

You can keep your Siverado and sing "Like a Rock" at the top of your lungs. I prefer my 2002 Mitsubishi Montero that I bought one year old for $25,500 vs. the $38,000 MSRP. I let guys who think like you take the hit on the year one depreciation...

Why would someone have a hard time getting a Mercedes serviced in Alabama?

If the shop can't fix it, just drive to the plant.

Thanks arkst. I was about to post that. I guess that means that our friend from NIU did not go to their big win against Alaprobation. If he had he would have known that the Mercedes plant is right outside of Tuscaloosa.

Is this still a football message board or did my browser mistakenly send me to an automotive economics site...getting confused.

With all this smack, very little of which actually has to do with football anymore, I really hope we get to play NIU in a bowl this year, anywhere, so that we can settle this BS on the only place that matters, the football field. The Illinois snobbery is getting annoying. I have family in that area so I know everybody up there is not like that, just like everybody is Alabama is not a redneck. But driving a truck doesn't make you a redneck, just like driving an SUV doesn't make you intelligent. However, getting on a football message board and arguing over trucks, dogs, burning crosses, mullets, or serial killers, does make you an indisputable moron. FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!

And as much as the NIU guys have annoyed me, I hope they win if they play a BCS school in a bowl. Here's to all the non-BCS schools winning their bowls and proving there aren't too many bowls, there are too many teams in the BCS conferences that don't deserve to be.

Whose this guy think he is...me two days ago?

Hey, NIU A$$hole, youll get off better just leaving the forum, these guys are vicious on there own kind, when arrogance is shown, and believe me, your way more arrogant than I ever was, mine wasn't intentional.

Oh...and we don't give a **** about your year one depreciation. If you had any sense you could get a brand new Mitsubishi Montero at the same price if you wait until the dealers push the remaining vehicle so they can stock the new models.

And what the hell are you driving a Mitsubishi Montero for and braggin about all yall driving Mer****s and Range Rocks around...sounds to me like you can't afford the maintenence either. Shut up and go home...I wish we would play ya'll so we could take our southern pride and shove it in your @$$

Considering recent "hunting" events up in Wisconsin, I don't think I'd want to go hunting there.

I let guys who think like you take the hit on the year one depreciation...Well NIU92alum ... If you guys don't play Troy in a bowl I hope you win, and if you play in Shreveport and have the time check out Cajun country - like Lafayette - the "coon asses" know how to make music ,cook, and have fun - seriously if you get the chance to try some Cajun Cuisine - you'll be back for seconds. And on the way back north, stop in Tennessee, or Arkansas and see if you can trade your Montero for a coon dog - but if you do, see if you can board him down south - I hate to think about an Ole Smokey off spring suffering in Illinois.

I was very disappointed to see messages degrading Troy University and the state of Alabama at the end of last week from NIU. Now, we are discussing dogs and trucks. I started coming to this board, because I love the Troy Trojans. Please keep this about TROY football. No one on here cares about anything else.

Thank you!!!! Everytime someone opens their mouth on our side, it looks like we're just buying into the stereotype!! Please, be intelligent with the smacktalk, and let it be about football!
