What do we need to feature on this website, folks? What are everyone's ideas as to how it should look?

We need this website up and going very soon so people can see it and EXPERIENCE it!

Here's my ideas:

I'm thinking of a backdrop with a Greek Myth theme (greek columns, buildings, sculptures, etc.).

I'm thinking three main tabs--one for Middle Tennessee and another for Troy and once you click on those tabs, well, I'd like to try to get some really nice effects set up one that spans Middle Tennessee's campus while zeroing in on Floyd Stadium while playing our fightsong and the other for Troy which spans their campus and zeros in on their stadium while playing their fight song. Such visual and sound effect probably might be pretty high, but we'll see. If we can't do that we can just skip the effects and go straight to the team's main menus.

There you can find information on each team: who they are, where they've been, how they've done, and any other interesting tidbits about the actual team or the school in general.

The third tab would be for the fans of both schools to congregate. I don't know what to call it but I think it should be called something Greek related and having something to do with a place for large gatherings. Anyone have a suggestion?

In the fans' tab there would be a sub menu where you can find info on the series itself.

I'm thinking of calling one tab in that section the "Hall of Records" in which you could find anything you would want to know such as the series standings and results, the series leading passer, leading rusher, leading receiver, longest punt return, longest reception, etc., etc., etc. with basically a bunch of record holders in this series.

Also in the "Hall of Records" you could find information about each teams' old coaches and how they've faired. You could view pictures from yesteryear (if I could get them from the Montgomery Advertiser, DNJ, or some other source).

There would also be a Messageboard, a chatroom, and perhaps in the future--a store where you can buy items about this game. Also there would be a page for links for any related links.

So what do ya'll think? These are just ROUGH ideas and may need modifiying, but what do ya'll think? I need something here really soon, because we need to start advertising this game.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. We need a good domain name as well. My first thought would be "battleforthepalladium.com" but I don't know. Help me out fellas'!

Please respond to this thread with any ideas you may have.

Best Regards,

Scott (BlueRaiderPride)

Go to the other forum and read the posts to your original message. You will get your answer there. If you want to raise hell at somebody do it! Go straight to those responsible for the merchandise fiasco, that would be JH and his executive cabinet. They made the decision on how to roll this out even though good managers advised otherwise.

Now send you emails to them or go buy a MTSU jersey.

This guy is happy unless he is bashing someone. All bark and no bite. I don't think he has the cahones to e-mail anyone about the things he complains about and certainly doesn't have the courtesy to apologize to those he has bashed when the truth comes out!

I put my words to action buddy. Your the type to just sit around and let crap NOT happen. When I went to school there..there was a issue with parking that was not dealt with properly. I emailed Dr. Hawkins and the problem was addressed. So do I bark? yes I do. I am sorry your expectations are very low but for the rest of us..we are willing to voice our opinions..thats what this message board is for. Many people that know me on this board know me as a go getter and I will do what it takes to make sure that other Trojan students and fans will have the full experience. This is 2004 buddy we need to get our act together now! Remember Dr. Hawkins is the visionary for our University.

What about the "agora"? I think that's what the marketplaces in Greece were called. Agoraphobia--fear of crowds.
Of course I could be completely wrong.
Thanks for all the work. Looking forward to the game.

GO TROY!

Since you have had success in getting JH to react and do the right thing, you should communicate with him directly. If you read the various posts and topics on this subject, you will clearly see JH, our visionary, is the one responsible for the merchandise fiasco. Voicing your opinion on this board is fine but I doubt JH and his executive cabinet spend much time reading the board.

If you think our expectations are low you are badly mistaken. I graduated from this University before you were born. I have pulled for this team through the entire transition to IA. Low expectations? Not a chance. Realist, you bet your sweet rear end. I was personally involved in the recommendation not to roll the plan out in this manner but the visionary and his top leaders did it any way. If you want some blood over this issue go straight to the top. That is where the responsibility rests.

Now, take action Whiner and stop bashing others on this board. Why don't you copy the email you send and any replies to this board? We will believe you are the action man then. Maybe you can be the next visionary.

Oh, by the way, you are going to have to thicken that skin a lot if you are going to lead!
