I definitely didnt think this would happen when I was there in 1996-2000, struggling to beat McNeese State and never being able to beat Florida A&M. The Trojans led by Larry Blakeney have done wonders for the advancement of the football program. Just look where Marshall was 10 years ago, the same place we were. They have made a name for themselves, only to be passed up by Troy. College football is a crazy sport, anything can and will happen.

It is always an honor to be able to compete with a legend like Lou Holtz. For everything that LB has done for Troy Football, I'm glad to see him get the chance to play against that kind of a coach. I'm sure in his quiet moments, alone, he has thought about who he will be up against, but in the thick of the battle, he will focus on the team he is up against, and not the legend. I believe Larry Blakeney has earned the right to coach in this game, and I hope the Trojans will give Coach Blakeney a "W" on Saturday.
