I asked this earlier, but nobody really knew. What's up with T-Roy?? Where is he? Surely, they thought of a plan...right? The fact that we had no T-Roy at the biggest game of the year is pathetic. What's up with that?

My kids miss T-Roy terribly. Glad I have a picture of him holding my youngest at 6 months at one of the many rainy games in 2002.
We also miss Xena, Warrior Princess, but I guess there is no place for her and Trigger to ride.
Lastly, I just hope they don't put Pissed-off Trojan Dude (see above) as a sideline mascot.
Bring back T-ROY! Let's not go the Colonel Reb route and stand back and lose our guy!

Seems there are some new devlopments on the Mascot front.
the new mascot uniform has been ordered. i was told that it may be here by last saturday...i kinda assume that it didn't get here because we didn't see it. it will be a "hector" costume. the theory is though, if the students continue to call it T-Roy, then T-Roy will win out over hector. Just thought you might like to know
Got that from a friend of mine that works for the school.

From what I heard, the mascot know as T-Roy looked "too much like Osma Bin Laden" and wasn't going to be used anymore. I never thought about it until I heard that. Now all I can think of when I see an image of T-Roy is Osma Bin T-Roy.

Regardless, "Osama" looks better than superhero-musclehead T-Roy.
And just think, some of us were still under the delusion that they'd play "Dixie" again.

Bob, I agree. I like T-Roy much, much better than muscle head. I just hate that who ever said that about T-Roy ruined my positive image.
Policital Correctness? I ain't no politician!!

If the administration needed an excuse to change the mascot , I have to say that T-Roy looking like Osama is about the weakest excuse I've ever heard. T-Roy is a great mascot. Period. I can understand if they want to freshen him up a bit, since the costume was looking a little worse for wear last year, but the last thing you need is a mascot looking like it has a severe case of 'roid rage. Especially if scaring the kiddies is an issue.

I always thought he looked like one of the super Mario brothers on Nintendo

from your friend in the know...I'm even more concerned. If they end up bringing out a Heman and calling him our mascot..that is NOT going to fly. The fact that we've already had 2 home games and no T-Roy is very disturbing. Can't anyone get it right down there?????!!! I don't care what kind of mascot he is, he better look good and not be scary. No matter what he looks like, he will always be T-Roy. That is our mascot. Period.
