Does anyone else share the sentiment that Omar should have at least got an honorable mention on this one?

He should have been considered without a doubt. More so than some of the other guys nominated.

Nice Trojan

SunBelt gave Leodis ST player of the Week

Special Teams Player of the Week

Leodis McKelvin (Troy, Sr., DB/KR)

After not getting a chance to return a punt in the first two games of the year, the senior took advantage of his opportunity against Oklahoma State, returning a second quarter punt a school Division I record 74 yards for his fifth career punt return touchdown. He has scored on a punt at least one time in four straight seasons. He finished the night with five punt returns for 136 yards, one kickoff return for 15 yards, to go with a team-high seven tackles, all solo, one of which was for a loss, a forced fumble, and three pass breakups.

Omar picked a tough week to have his record night, with Rusty pitching for 400-plus yards (strange throwing style and all). Omar deserved to be included in the poll.

The guy from Kansas State is ahead right now.
He is still ahead as I just voted.
