I guess they would send UAB to the Hawaii bowl because they know that NO (that is ZERO) UAB fans would go no matter where they game was played!

If UAB goes to a bowl game in the CONUS then there will be fans that travel. Will we have a huge following? Probably not. It takes winning and time to build a solid fan base.
Try something new besides the old "UAB attendance slams". We had more people at our game versus Memphis the other night then you had for your ESPN2 game vs #17 Mizzou.
By the way, your chances of getting to a bowl look much better now that UNT's RB is gone for the year.

IF UAB had more folks attend their game against Memphis the other night, it's because thounsands of free tickets were given away and almost half the stadium were Memphis fans. Mizzou only a a couple of hundred fans at the Troy game. When will UAB actually have 27,000 real UAB fans at a game?

Actually, only 4,000 of them were Memphis fans and our total attendance was over 27,000.
Does it matter that free tickets were given away? Nope. I get free tickets to St. Louis Rams games so does that mean they are any less of a team?

There weren't more people AT the B team/Memphis game than the Troy/Missouri...that's just a flat-out lie.
I'm not going to say another word about that BS.

The City of Birmingham recently made Legion Field into a homeless shelter. So UAB uses their new stadium-mates in their attendance figures. The new "fanbase" gets a bottle of Wild Irish Rose if they cheer for the team in green.

4000 Memphis fans? Not sure what game you went to but there were at least 10,000 blue shirts at that game.

Actually, the Birmingham News reported that the attendace was over 27,000 and the initial count of 26,000+ was incorrect.
Per Memphis' AD, they brought 4,000 fans.

the 4,000 Memphis people is prob. the tickets THEIR office sold to the game.
This doesnt count Memphis fans that screwed the system or bought theirs through the UAB office
