View Full Version : December 20th - Signing Day for December Grad JUCOs

Today is a significant day in recruiting, especially for the Trojans. Junior college players who graduate in December can sign their letter of intent to play with I-A teams today. This means that they will be on campus attending classes in January. Troy has several recruits who fall in this category. Expected to sign today are Tim Ward, Kenard Burton, Windham Rotunda, Mark Cogburn and possibly Patrick Pinchon. There may be other recruits that will sign with Troy today.

Good Question!

I sent emails to Ricky Hazel and one of his assistants. Ricky has been very helpful in the past with these matters, but its been about 12 hours and I haven't had a reply from either. Scout.com and Rivals.com don't have a list either. I will continue to look around tonight. If I haven't found out anything by morning I will try to send out a few more e-mails.

Ricky is pretty occupied this week with the bowl, I'm sure he will get back to you as soon as he can.

I was told that media relations would put out something about who Troy signed around the first of January.

Ricky Hazel e-mailed me back and told me that Troy signed four players. As you can imagine he has been very busy. He didn't tell me the names of any of the players. He told me that it will be after Christmas before they release any details.

Thanks for the info. When is the deadline for Juco players to sign with a 4-year college?

I don't know what the exact deadline is. If they want to be enrolled in classes starting in January then the deadline is probably around the time that the spring semester starts.

According to Rivals, Troy signed Windham Rotunda and Mark Cogburn.
