It may be too late for this year but some of the posters on the boards have arranged for a bus to take them to games. I don't think the alumni department for TU will do it, but I'd help get a bus for away games.
I'd like to see is a bus that starts in either Atlanta or Mobile (depending on the direction of the away game) and possibly travels through Columbus/Phenix City, Montgomery, Troy, Birmingham, and picks up passengers. Bus would take us to a hotel and to the game. Pick us up after the game, back to the hotel, and back home on a reverse route.
At a minimum we should be able to arrange pickup on a route that includes Mobile, Montgomery, Birmingham, and Atlanta.
Any thoughts??

Great idea. Why doesn't the alumni association or TU think of these things?
I hope to arange for some sort of blow-out down here next season when Troy is expected to play at either FAU or FIU. Bring the buses.

Hi,
That is a great idea!!
I know my freshman year there was one that the Alumni did and a bunch of Band parents when on it as the Football team played in Huntsville, and then the band played halftime for the Falcons for opening weekend of the NFL. It was a great game!!
I think if we had enough people we could do it at the LA-Lafyette Game. As the Band is going there and it would be a graet game for us all too travel too together and support the trojans.
What does everyone think?

we could have a bus leave Atlanta go through Birmingham to Montgomery to Troy to Mobile and to Lafayette.

For those of you considering the Arkansas State game, Jonesboro is 1.5 hours from Memphis. Memphis is 6.5 hours from Troy, maybe shorter if you don't drive like an old lady like I do. :)
We can arrange a Trojan get together on historic Beale Street Friday night and then cruise up to Jonesboro Saturday for some tailgating and "fried Indian."
Let me know if any of you are planning on coming up for the ASU game.

I would rather go too LA-Lafyette as the Band is going there and its not on TV, Ark. State is on TV, plus LA-Lafyette gives us a few more weeks too prepare.

I agree, organize a trip to see Troy take on the ragin' cajuns, I'll be there and it'd be awesome to see some real fan support on the road for that game. I've been to more away games than home games in the last four years, and it is tough when there are only a few of us. Having a crowd at a small stadium like ULL could make a difference.

Does that mean you're volunteering to dance on the pole in the back?

I am going too contact Faith Ward and see if there is any real interest in the Alumni doing this. If so, I will get some prices together and see what it will take too get us all down there.

Sarabelle ---- you once made and very keen observation about the difference between half naked coaches and half naked Coeds.
I don't think I'd be the one folks would want to watch dance.
