Vince Vance appears to have lost some interest in Troy. Have we fallen in interest from High to Medium as is stated on his profile? And if this is true is it because he is getting more offers from bigger schools? Just curious as to your thoughts on this.

Vince Vance has seen a lot of interest lately from some bigger schools, and that might have changed his interest in Troy. He did visit Troy on Oct. 20 and liked what he saw. Here is an article from Tuesday Oct. 24

Milledgeville (Ga.) Georgia Military three-star offensive lineman Vince Vance has seen his stock rise quickly in the last few weeks as teams with an immediate need along the offensive front are knocking on his door.

Vince Vance will have three years to play three at the D-1 level.
"Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, Troy, Baylor, East Carolina and Texas Tech have now offered me," the 6-foot-8, 315-pound Vance said. "I'm also looking at maybe visiting LSU, but they haven't offered me yet."

Vance, who redshirted last season, has already taken an official visit to Troy.

"I had a good visit up there for sure," he said. "I like their coaches a lot, and the environment is cool, too. Troy is definitely a place I could see myself playing."

Georgia has also come on strong with their recent offer.

"Georgia has always had one of the best names in college football, and they've put a lot of linemen into the league. I went to see them play, and I liked the atmosphere. Plus coach (Neil) Callaway is the kind of offensive line coach that pushes his players to be the best they can be. I'm going to visit them the week they play Georgia Tech (Nov. 23rd)."

South Carolina is a newcomer to Vance's offer list, and he is looking forward to learning more about them.

"I'm going to visit them on November 17th," Vance said. "Just from watching them on TV, it looks like to me that they need some help on the offensive line, and that's probably why they're coming after me. I have some good friends there that played at GMC last year. I just want to take that trip to see what they're all about."

Vance knows specifically what he's looking for in a school.

"Playing time and getting a good degree. I plan to major in computer science. Plus I want to play for a good coaching staff, and with players that will be good teammates."

While he knows what he's looking for, he isn't sure when he'll decide.

"I'm just going with the flow right now as far as recruiting goes. I don't have a top school as of tonight. I'm going to take more visits, and I'll know when I should commit after that."

Vance projects to graduate in December and will have three years to play three at the D-1 level.

Thanks Cattousefan! I am going to have to break down and join one if not both Rivals and Scout. Hopefully we can land Vince. With his size he would definitely be beneficial on our O front.
