Wes Caldwell picked up his fourth written offer from Middle Tennessee State, according to his father, and while he has no official visits set, the 6-foot-2, 180-pound wide receiver from Lexington Catholic High does have two favorites.
“He wants to visit Troy and Kentucky,” Mr. Caldwell said. “Troy runs the same offense as his school does, so he likes that and Kentucky is just very close to home.”
“The offer from Middle Tennessee State came a while back and we’ve also been hearing from Purdue, Cincinnati, NC State and Louisville a lot lately.”
Not only is the Lexington, Ky. native a standout in football, but he was also invited for an East Coast Showcase in North Carolina this summer for baseball, where he plays catcher and outfield. He has a scholarship offer from Cincinnati for baseball.
Lexington Catholic lost its first game of the season on Friday 49-0; however Caldwell did catch 10 passes for 130 yards.
