Congrats to Ted Horstead and Coach Rhodes. Coach Rhodes was my coach and I had the pleasure of knowing Horstead, he was a senior my freshman year. Both very deserving of this honor.

Didn't coach Rhodes move out of country?

NOPE!

Rick Rhoades was actually named President of the newly formed Pelham Board of Education recently. Pelham is breaking away from the Shelby County School System and forming a City School System beginning this fall.

I talked with him during the 2012 season and he was coaching football in Austria.

Great coach and a great man. A discipline football coach that everyone respected. I wonder a lot as do my teammates, what could have been if he had stayed and seen Troy into 1-AA?

It was kinda of like Semi-Pro ball. He said he was really surprised as the quality. He said it was much better than D111 and close to D11. Not bad considering they don't really play organized American football in Europe.
