2014 Lookahead: Troy QBs (http://www.dothaneagle.com/blogs/article_cda6c2fa-66a5-11e3-9118-001a4bcf6878.html)

by Jeremy Wise

With the senior class having played its final game as Troy Trojans, I believe it's time to take a look at what Troy is losing by position and what will be returning. Of course, these blog posts cannot account for new recruits who will sign in February and could make an immediate impact. Also, gauging the impacts the 2013 grayshirts will have might be difficult, as well, so I will not try to account for them now.

Let's start the blog series with the signal callers.

Whom Troy loses:

Corey Robinson -- who passed for 3,000 yards or more in each of his four seasons in guiding the Trojans. 2013 stats: 67.7 percent completion rate, 20 TDs, 9 INTs, 3219 yards.

Deon Anthony -- dual-threat QB who made one start last year and missed two games this year; 2013 stats: 60.5 percent completion rate, 482 yards, 5 TDs, 0 INTs; 73 rushes for 432 yards and 3 TDs; 10 catches for 116 yards; 1 kick return for 12 yards

Slightly off-topic. Dontreal Pruitt (Commited To Troy) named 1st Team All-American by NJCAA.

Could be some competition for Silvers and Tidwell. I don't think this kid is being recruited to sit on the bench.

I liked Corey and Deon both... But I'm ready for some new blood at QB.
