I guess they still don't believe that offense is a priority around here...

I was shocked to see the difference.

Troy has made an investment into the System that started when TF walked onto campus and it has serve the team well...imo...there needs to be more points on the board until the defense slows the opposition down to win more games.

Another issue that has to be addressed is special teams, and what I mean is kick off return, kick off coverage and punt return/coverage. Our last kick off return for a TD was I believe JJ in 2010 and the last punt return I can remember was 2007-2008 by Leodis. I can't bear to watch us catch a kick on the 10 and return it to the 15?? We put our offense in position to have to do 80 plus yard drives to many times and then on the flip side we let the opposition return kick off routinely to the 35-40 and get positive yards consistently on punt returns. If we correct these then we are both setting up our offense to score easier and providing our defense some help also.

I think they were talking about Bolt being the highest paid assistant.

People demanded JR be replaced and so now we are going to complain that what a lot considered a quality replacement cost money???
I guess they could have kept JR and kept the money down.

Also note that the average for D coaches is less than Offensive coaches.

Man this really shows how small we are as a program. Bammers are whining that Saban should get 10 million. How long before we have a head coach making a cool million?

He is assistant head coach also. Makes you wonder if the added responsibility has taken away from his coaching prep time on special teams.

If we paid our assistants what they are paying at Arkansas
St look at the talent pool we could draw from when hiring coaches. Thompson at AsU makes more that Vic Koenning at North Carolina.

Assuming 9 assistants each staff, throw out the high man for each school (Bolt & John Thompson) and divide by the remaining 8.

$93,160 avg per Asst @ stAte
$93,420 avg per Asst @ Troy

(higher math)

Kent Riddle $243,133.

ASU is very heavy on the top with their salaries. Over half the money ASU spends on assistants salaries is spent on two of the nine coaches.

Sounds like a good model to me. Keep the coordinators there and hire young dynamic coaches under them.

Interesting model. Evidently Riddle and Thompson are the Asst's that carry this program through all the HC change. Malzahn must've just camped out there waiting for Chizek to self-destruct @ 'Barn????
