Not taking sides in this, but what else do we have to talk about right now? I mean a bowl is almost certain to be gone for us. As NIU is getting beat and would only cause another bowl spot to go away for us if the lose. I do not see a problem with it at this point of the year as most people read this forum for the most part.

I know right? How bitter pill.... So much life wasted on such minuscule stuff.

Yep, anything football to talk about at this time is better than :sad010: about a bowl.

I lived around Jonesboro for almost a year... Most depressing area I've ever been to... Probably not a huge reason coaches keep leaving, but it could be a reason...

@footballscoop: At A-State, the early chatter from coaches is: Tim Horton, Neal Brown, Eddie Gran. Scott Maxfield at Henderson State has connections too

Kind of a stretch to go after a D2 coach with the past success that they have had. I would suspect they could get another young coordinator to make a move.

I worry that Rhett Lashlee will go there. He wont be stable but he would make them good quick. I would like to see him replace LB when he decides to step down. I love that offense

The question is how much of that offense is Lashlee and how much is Malzahn?

Malzahn created it but I believe Lashlee has a firm grip on it and could bring it to a team that hired him. Idk it may be a risk hiring him but it would have a huge upside. Medium risk, huge reward. Hes going to be a bright coach one day being only 30. I think he'd be a great future replacement of a previous great CLB

Looks like nick Sabin might be headed to Texas. Texas and Alabama are in a bidding war. Bama just offered him 7 million

We will keep it on Troy and I think we will one up BAMA and offer 10 million! and No one hates Bama more than me but heck yeah id take Saban lol but when Larry Blakeney (who I still believe in a little) does retire I think JH will make an awesome hire like he did with Cunningham.
