“Michelle brings so much to the table,” Rigby said. “She is a relentless scorer that refuses to lose and finds anyway to score and help her team win. She is the perfect fit to my system and will help this team rise to the level we are expecting next season.”

“Michelle took our program to another level,” Darton State head coach Lea Henry said. “She's an outstanding student and a very classy young lady. She's had 60 or 70 schools express interest in her.”

What a recruiting job. She is getting the players to run her system. Next season we will see a dramatic improvement.

Haha it's ok to recruit SOME JUCO's to help with the program immediately. She is also recruiting HS players.

I only know one person that hates the recruiting of any JUCO players, and fortunately he doesn't post here. = )

There has to be a balance of both juco and HS. Coach Pierce does this very well in baseball. You get a high caliber juco player to fill a need when available, and in this case we got 3 juco All-Americans. You also need players who you can have in your system for 4 years. Maestri's problem was he went 100% juco which led to two problems. 1) your players don't get a chance to develop in your system 2) you get 2 years that's it so you are in constant rebuilding mode every year.

Coach Rigsby has gotten some Hs recruits she can develop and taken HIGH quality juco player also. We will have a good ,I'd of both and we can both compete now without forestalling long term program growth. Great job coach!!!!

And if you are referring to me, I am not a juco hater, I just state there has to be a balance with them.

I'm really excited about some of the improvements we're seeing in our athletic programs. I'm also impressed with our new AD's leadership.

Change is good.

Imagine if we had not made a change ! so many on here were promoting no change, thinking the old coaches deserve lifetime contracts, nobody knows better. Thank God they are not in the new AD's office.
