Top of the 9th, Troy leads 10-4 after Collins gets a solo dinger.

Assuming Troy holds on, they will go to 7-5 in Conference and UL will drop to 6-6. Troy will at least move into a tie for 3rd in the conference standings with USA. They will also move to 21-9 overall.

At this time, both FAU and WKU, who are tied for 1st, are losing, and if that holds, Troy will be in a tie for 2nd with USA, one game back from the first place.

Sun Belt Baseball this year is like SEC Football......

it's very tough, and everyone is beating up on each other.

There is no clear cut "head-above-the-rest" team this year, and it shows in the Conference RPI.

According to warrennolan.com the Sun Belt, after this weekend, has moved up to #4 behind the ACC, SEC, and Pac 12. If the conference remains this high RPI wise, we will get three teams in a Regional... if not four. Still a lot of baseball to be played but so far so good.

Yeah, I grabbed the RPI early Sunday evening, and all the scores from the day had not been calculated yet.

But you're right. If the conference remains this strong, we should get 3 into the Regionals, and maybe even 4. I think if the choices were made today, USA, ULL, FAU and maybe Troy would go to the Regionals.

Latest Projections (April 2) only has 2 from the SBC....USA & FAU

http://sebaseball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1490606

By the way, don't take that as a slight to the SBC. There are 32 Conferences that will get automatic bids to the Regionals, leaving 32 other spots at-large. Below are the conferences with multiple teams projected. Note the Big 12 and the MAC only have 1 team projected.

SEC - 9 teams
ACC - 8 Teams
P12 - 4 Teams
B10 - 3 Teams
BE - 3 Teams
SBC - 2 Teams
CUSA - 2 Teams
MVC - 2 Teams
CAA - 2 Teams
SoCon - 2 Teams
ASun - 2 Teams
MVC - 2 Teams
OVC - 2 Teams
SLC - 2 Teams
WCC - 2 Teams
