How about when we made it to the DII Final Four - twice, NCAA and NIT tournaments? Stop acting like were abysmal the last 30 years, because we weren't.

I was there for the DeVry game. I remember the D-II Final Four runs. Those were good times, and we're going to have good times again, just a little patience.

I'm liking these decisions but how much is coach getting paid? I still haven't seen anything about his contract.

$270,000. Maestri was making $235,000 when he retired. At least this is the information I read back when they announced Cunningham as coach.

I wasn't as active as an alumni or donor back when we made the D-II final four (of which I only know of one - 92/93). And the NCAA and NIT in 02-04 didn't really excite me at the time.

I'm not a big basketball fan to begin with, so your measurement of excitement with Basketball is clearly different than mine. So when I say this is the most excited I've ever been about Trojan Basketball, take it for what I say I feel, and not what you think I should feel.

1987 Was One Of The Greatest years in Troy Sports. DII Nat. Champs In Football and Baseball And Final 4 In Basketball. Unfortunately our glory days of basketball, what we had, is ancient history. Lack of recruiting the last several years has put us far behind. I am confident the new coach can rebuild but it won't be in the next 2 seasons IMO.
