Well guys,

Hakeem Nicks is out for the Giants game tomorrow night and Jerrel Jernigan is in. Hope he has a chance to make a difference. Sure would be nice to have him in a Trojan uniform again but glad he is getting his first chance for NY this season.

Go TROY!

If he gets the ball thrown his way he'll make us proud. Eli just has to toss it to him.

Jernigan and McKelvin are the two best athletes that ever played for Troy. We could use a few m ore like them.

With the Giants playing the Panthers, does that mean Sherrod will be covering Jerrell?

That'll be interesting!!

Im a panther fan, always have been. Last year Sherrod made some bone head misses, however, he was usually the first one to hit someone and hit them pretty hard. I believe he was leading the team in tackles. This year, he was replaced by some rookie, who is coughing up huge yards, yet Sherrod now only sees special teams duty.

FYI: Mario Addison with Indy, Steve McLendon with Pittsburgh, and a guy on Atlanta, forgot his name

Jonathan Massaquoi is the player on the Falcons. He was a beast when he was on our d-line.

He was something alright, but a beast was not it.

Demarcus Ware is by far the best football player to come out of Troy. Jernigan and McKelvin are the two best athletes from our football program. It looks to me like McKelvin will be more of a punt return and kickoff specialist for the Bills. I'd like to see Jernigan used like that in NY. His 100 yard return against Oklahoma St was amazing. I know he can be a great kickoff return guy at the next level if he gets a shot.

So many Trojan Football Alum have had an impact in the NFL, Demarcus has certainly made us proud!! As has Lawrence Tynes, Leodis, Osi, Sherrod, Elbert Mack. DuJuan etc etc. Jerrel will make his mark!!!

Current Trojans can be assured a shot if they give their ALL!

GO TROJANS. Give it all guys!!

Jerrell has had several shots but he has had issues catching the ball on punt and kick returns in the NFL. I do hope he can overcome those issues, and when he does I believe he will be a great returner.

I haven't seen him in the game yet. Has he gotten in there when I wasn't watching?

Maybe if he gets cut the Titans will pick him up. :signs003:

Or unfortunately he would be off to play with Levi, in the BTH special Canadian league :[

I actually heard from a former player/friend of JJ, that he hurt his knee. That may be why we haven't seen him in the game tonight.

Dude Jernigan would OWN the Canadian league, I'd love to see the BC Lions sign him for a year. Grey Cup baby! :bounce012:

I think JJ is one hell of a kid but he wont last long in the NFL. I said it when he got drafted to the Giants he wouldn't be there long. He doesnt have the endurance for that league and is injury prone. The Giants have too many weapons and he unfortunately will be waived at the end of this season.

I think Levi is good enough to play in the NFL. He just needed to get with a team where he could develop for a few years. He has the size and can make all the throws. I was sorry to see that Buffalo ###$ed him over. I thought with Gailey being an old Troy coach he would have given him more of a chance.

Even if healthy, he is fighting Barden, Randle, and others for a spot. When he lost return duties his value dropped. He still doesn't have an NFL catch. I sure hope he gets a shot to prove himself soon!

I totally agree with you on this.

Jerrel needs to get traded to a team who needs a good slot receiver. The Giants have too many weapons, so it's going to be hard for him to get in the mix.

I was reading the NY Giants message board last night. Someone pointed out that Jernigan was drafted to play the slot before Victor Cruz stepped up and become a super star, so JJ is nolonger necessary.

He reminds me a lot of T.Y. Hilton. JJ Just needs to get to a team that can utilize his skills. He might need to bulk up a bit, I'm sure some other team will take a long look at him if he is cut by the Giants. NY has a great record with Troy players though.
