Zook's gone at UF. Official announcement to come this afternoon. ESPN reported it now. The coaching staff there will stay until the end of the season.

This will start a "chain reaction" in the coaching ranks.

Could it reach all the way down to the Sunbelt and Troy? Who knows?

I think you are right Hector. I heard last year that super stevie had been approached. I heard that it was going to be at the end of Zook's contract but I guess that just happened.

I got my topic moved! I guess I should have made myself clearer on how this might affect us. When the coaching shuffle starts, the ripples from a big move like this are far reaching. Darrell Dickey's name and North Texas comes up a lot when coaching vacancys come up. Willigham at Notre Dame is still on the ropes, as is Bowden at Clemson. Robinson is retiring at UNLV and that's actually a sought-after job that would be move up for coaches in our conference.

I'm not worried about losing Blakeney. All the reasons why on that have been stated before. It's Coach Koening that I'm worried about losing. Heck, after Tulane dropped 59 on UAB, they may fire Bolt and try to take our DC again!
