If you live in one of these areas please join us for some Trojan fun, food and fellowship. Wear your Trojan gear, be proud and be loud. If you are not able to join us at one of these locations on Tuesday, please tune in and watch the Trojans on ESPN. By the way Trojan gear can be ordered by logging on to www.trojans.com and clicking on the Trojans Gear Icon or by calling Screentech toll free at 1-800-230-7010.

Other upcoming events include the “Blackout” game on October 20, 2005. Troy University wants to paint Movie Gallery Veterans Stadium black and is encouraging everyone to wear black apparel to the game. Official “Blackout” game day t-shirts can also be ordered from Screentech. The TROY football team will wear vintage black jerseys and black helmets as they battle Florida International. Anyone wishing to donate a minimum of $125.00 to the Al Lucas Fund for Student –Athlete Excellence will receive one of these game black jerseys. The last time TROY wore black jerseys was Al Lucas’ senior year in 1999. This game will also include “Take a Kid to the Game” promotion. There will be a “Kids Zone” located within Riddle-Pace baseball outfield. For every adult that pays full price for admission, one child will be admitted free of charge.

As I close, let me encourage each of you to join us on November 4 and 5, 2005 for Homecoming 2005. The theme this year is Gridiron Glory and activities kick off on Friday at 6:00 p.m. with a Pep Rally in Movie Galley Veterans Stadium. At 7:00 p.m. the evening continues with a Trojan Festival concert including country music entertainers Jamey Johnson, Jeff Bates and Phil Vassar. Homecoming day begins with the Homecoming Appreciation Day parade at 10:00 a.m., tailgating at 11:00 a.m., pre-game festivities at 2:00 p.m. and the Trojans vs. the Florida Atlantic Owls at 2:30 p.m. We will also honor four distinguished alumni and celebrate the 40th year of the Sound of the South marching band.
