Drew is vacationing this weekend, but if he posts something, it'll be posted here...:thumb: Also, Wes has some info (http://www.troymessenger.com/2012/01/27/troy-hosting-prospects-in-hopes-of-late-commits/)...

Weekend visit list (http://dothaneagletroy.blogspot.com/2012/01/weekend-visit-list.html)

Back to the hotel in time to do a little research. If you ever go to Philadelphia, go to Penn's campus and check out Franklin Field and the Palestra. Neat, historical places. This is Troy's unofficial list of official visitors.

**Zach Camp, an ATH from Yulee, Fla. Rivals.com profile HERE (http://rivals.yahoo.com/wku/football/recruiting/player-Zach-Camp-127632).

**Percy Griffin IV, an OL from Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Fla., listed as a verbal to Savannah State, rivals.com profile HERE (http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Percy-Griffin%20IV-122961).

Maybe with Core moving on to Ole Miss, the staff will make Camp a priority if they haven't already. Maybe Camp will see a better opportunity at Troy if he hasn't already. It seems to be a good fit, because it seems as if Camp is the next WR on the board with Core leaving. We shall see. It wouldn't surprise me to see Camp commit by NSD.

He comes in and he is immediately the biggest man on the line. He was 2nd team All conference with only 13 tackles last season, but I would assume that is because he is taking on blocks and stuffing the middle. You don't make all conference in that league based on 13 tackles.

That is what we need right there!

I wish he was a HS kid, but oh well. We need an immediate fix, and Xavier could be that fix that frees up the linebackers to make tackles at the line and to get in faster on blitzes.

Butler is the SEC of Juco's and getting to second team all conference with those stats you are dead on double or triple teams had to have been why.....if that happens leads to lots and lots of tackles for backers who are essentially unblocked. Look forward to that ......also only 13 tackles maybe why not pursued by the big boys that much......saying not good enough to get off blocks etc..........

Exactly right. In the 3-4 you need a nose tackle to occupy blocks. He needs to command a double team to free up the linebackers to make the plays.

And with 15 juco signees this year plus the ones we already had, we might be eligible to compete in the Miss. Juco League. Just kidding . Although I think it is way to many, I hope they can contribute and get Troy back on top.

Add another one!

From Drews Blog:
Zach Miller (Butler County CC) to sign with Troy

"...Miller was named a first team All-American (and all-conference) after he intercepted a team-high seven passes and broke up eight passes. He had 52 tackles (44 solo), one sack, six tackles for loss, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble..."

Those are some impressive stats right there!

Core may very well still end up at Troy. Camp may end up javing to walk on. Who knows what will happen with these kids. The wait will be over in a few hours. Good luck to every kid out there making a decision today.
