I am shocked they picked this guy up, he sounds like a really good coach. This could just be a short term stepping stone for him though.

UAB will give us a big problem next season. Aggresive coach with offensive experience. Our schedule is not looking good next season. Miss. St, Tennessee, Navy, UAB, ASU, FIU, and the rest of the Sunbelt will be very tough. Look out for FAU also if they get a young gun in there like FIU did with Cristobal. Troy will have its harderst schedule ever next year.

I understand that, but the fact is they beat us by 1 and we beat them by 3 the last two meetings, and that with Calloway coaching them.

We were winning by 21 at halftime last year....Rowell let them back in the game last year.... And the Year before that we beat them handedly....

I think Dgoeble just looks for an excuse to be negative against TROY. I get it, its easy to do right now

Not being negative. Just stating a fact. Our opponents are getting aggresive coaches and aren't going to be the same old teams we used to play. I think we seen that this season. If we make adjustments in the off season we will be fine. The fact is that next year from top to bottom will be the toughest schedule we have played.

I'm sorry, man. Ya'll won some Sunbelt championships over the year and I'm really happy for you. I'ma let you finish. But...

(since UAB joined Troy State's in FBS for the 1996 season)

2002: @UAB - UAB 27 TSU 26
2003: @UAB - TSU 20 UAB 9
2005: @Troy - UAB 27 TSU 7
2006: @UAB - TSU 21 UAB 3
2009: @Troy - UAB 27 TSU 14
2010: @UAB - UAB 34 TSU 33
2011: @Troy - TSU 24 UAB 23

That's 4-4 with the last 4 games coming during Watson's downfall and attempt to cripple the program on his way out the door (most likely so no one would uncover what all had really gone on under his watch...he probably should have taken a torch to all records), and Callaway's 3 years of rebuilding and 2 years of not getting it done. Oh, and it was still 2-2 during that stretch. Objectively, that list of scores does not bode well for Plainbillies.

*yawn*

I love how UA's B fans try to come over here and act like they are a better program but what have they accomplished? And besides weren't they in D-1A like a decade before we were? Yet even with the head start the only thing they can gloat about is a few fluke wins.
