Jess Lanier quarterback Anthony Speight found Marcus Thomas in the end zone for a 17-yard touchdown pass on the final play of the game as the Tigers beat seventh-ranked Pleasant Grove 13-10 in Class 5A, Region 4 action at Snitz Snider Stadium Friday night.
The 13 points marked the first time the Spartans (2-1) had been scored on this season and was their first region setback.
"When I saw the ball in the air, I just caught it and made sure my feet were in bounds," said Thomas, who was mobbed by teammates after the play.
