Walker is an efficient receiver with the quickness and playing speed necessary to gain good yardage after the catch. His hands look strong and natural; adjusts well to the high behind and low throw; displays the agility and balance necessary to adjust to balls thrown out of the frame. Has the size and athleticism for the wide receiver position at the major level of competition. Although we don't see a burst or great top end speed, this prospect comes off the line with the quickness and smooth running style which commands respect, flashing the ability to put pressure on defenders; demonstrates good quickness into and out of the break, gaining separation; uses his body to shield off defenders when running inside routes. Although we don't see a burst or second gear this prospect has enough speed to get on top of defenders when running deep routes; demonstrates good balance and awareness along the sideline. Flashes the elusiveness necessary to make defenders miss at the 2nd level; displays the playing strength to pull through tackles demonstrating a nose for the end zone. This guy is a tough customer who competes well in a crowd and is willing to take a hit in order to secure the catch. Walker does not appear to be an immediate starter at the BCS level of play; some time may be needed to polish his skills.

Brandon Brooks, a 3-star from Jacksonville, has also committed just recently (short update on blog)

3 3-star recruits from that area have committed to Troy, a credit to Jeff Beckles

I'm happy. He can redshirt next season to get stronger and faster then bam by the time he is a senior we have a decent player. Hopefully we get more of them in this class.

100% agree. More high school recruits. Recruit Florida, Georgia, and Alabama aggresive. More of this and less juco's.

check out Bobby Walkers offer list:

Ole Miss, Illinois, Southern Miss, FAU, MTSU, and Us.

Not to shabby to be getting kids over Ole Miss and Illinois.

Hopefully we will be able to hold onto him!

Brandon Brook's offer list:

FIU, USF, and us. It is good to get these kids away from Florida!

Yes it is. A lot of talent and speed down this way. I hope Troy can snatch up a few.
