Might have been nice if he could have worn a Troy shirt instead of a Florida Football.

Has anybody heard from Scott? I assume he ran, but I don't see a finish time for him in the results. I'm guessing he might have been one of the runners rerouted away from the finish area. Just wanted to make sure he was alright.

**THANKFULLY** Scott and Marilou are A-OK ! ! !

The Team had a number of e-mails, text messages, phone calls, etc., circulating yesterday. I established contact with his sister-in-law; the family was concerned for Marilou, who is oft in the Finish Line area.

S-I-L called me back today and shared that Scott AND Marilou are fine.

THANK GOD

THANK YOU for asking ... I'm thinking, too, Scott was pulled off the course along with many others who had not finished before then ....

Scott forwarded the below words just moments ago. CAN'T WAIT for the Trojan pics. ...a light amongst all the tragedy ....

--------------

Donna,

Thanks so much. I’m fine. I was slightly inconvenienced but nothing compared to many others. We were physically stopped by police @ the Mass Ave bridge in the last mile with no explanation. I tried to explain why I needed to finish but it was a no-go so I ran to the opposite side of Comm Ave and continued running to I was even with the John Hancock Tower, checked my watch and called it a “finish”. Then I began to find out what happened an hour before. My hotel overlooks the finish line and Marilou likes to hang out of our 6th floor window to cheer. Most years this is a great spot. I’m so glad she couldn’t come with me this year. I wasn’t allowed back to the room til late yesterday with heavy police escort (“No photos, stay away from the windows,” stuff like that). I got in late last night & am trying to get back to everyone. Thank you, Trojan sister and bros ~ I wore my TSU singlet with great pride, received countless “GO TROY!” cheers along the course and will send pics ASAP. Boston #31 will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.

Love you.
Scott

FYI, Coach Jill Lancaster made the TSU singlet happen ~ THANKS, Coach Jill!

#It's ALways a great day to be a Trojan

Donna,

Thank you for providing us with the updates regarding Scott as well as everything that you have done and continue to do in regards to our TSU XC/Track alumni. I love that Scott tacked on the final mile and kept the streak alive. So thankful to hear that he was not near the finish at the time of the explosions.
