The New Orleans Saints are staying and practicing in San Jose, CA for the time being. There's a good article on espn.com about the teams current situation.

There's also an article on espn.com about the USM/Tulane game and the LSU/UNT game. It said that the USM team is headed to Memphis in order to stay and practice until it's feasible for the team to return to Hattiesburg. Tulane is staying in Dallas and using SMU as the host school until the Greenies can go back to New Orleans, whenever that might be.

It looks like Tulane might have to make arrangements to play their home games somewhere besides New Orleans - maybe Lafayette or Baton Rouge or McNeese State?

I wonder how this is going to affect the Sugar and (most importantly) New Orleans bowls?

Where else would we (as SunBelt champs, of course) want the NO Bowl to be played?

Tampa, Miami or J'ville would be cool. Even ATL. NOT Mobile.

Even if the stadium is fixed in time, how will any of us be able to find or afford hotel rooms?

Has anyone in authority yet commented publicly about this situation?

I guess within the next several days we'll start to get some of those answers. I just heard where the entire city of New Orleans is being evacuated - THE ENTIRE CITY. New Orleans might be uninhabitable for over a year (or at least seveal months) with all of the filth that will have to be cleaned up. It's just awful and I really hate it for the folks in southeast Louisiana and southeast Mississippi.
