Hargrave Military Academy’s Board of Trustees has elected a new president to replace Col. Wheeler Baker when he retires this summer.

Brig. Gen. Don Broome, U.S. Army (retired), was unanimously selected and is expected to begin duties as Hargrave’s next president June 24, said William Wiebking, Hargrave’s director of communications.

.....

Broome earned a bachelors degree from Troy University in 1984 and was awarded a masters degree in history from The Army Command and Staff College. He also attended the Air War College.

Hargrove is a prep school, does that mean that players coming out of there are Freshman or Soph's when they go to a 4-year school?

example, a kid goes to Hargrove for one year and plays football, then signs and comes to Troy to play football. Does he have 3 or 4 years of eligibility?

Just don't know if Hargrove is considered a juco or not? Either way, this should or could help in getting kids to Troy!! A little 'insider knowledge' is always good.

I know Marion Military Institute is considered a JuCo.

They are still freshmen when they come in I believe. Brandon Lang and Antonio Harper both signed with BCS schools out of school, but instead went to Hargrave, then came to Troy listed as freshmen.
