Kind of a long read (I have not had a chance to read the entire thing yet, but an interesting study on the Regressive Tax that athletics represents to the student body.

Thought some on here would be interested in reading this.

Paper is flawed...Ohio State spends the most of any athletic department in the country and guess what? They ask for ZERO from the University.

You want to know how to "fix" athletic budgets? Get rid of Title IX. Sorry, outside of a few MAJOR programs, women's sports are money pits. How much revenue does vollyball generate for Troy? I would say very little - not enough to cover their costs. Same can be said with every other women's sport in Pike County...NOT sating they should be eliminated, just pointing out the obvious fact that these brainiacs fail to recognize.
