Academic issues have put the availability of two Ohio University football players in doubt for the team's game against Troy in the New Orleans Bowl on Saturday in the Louisiana Superdome.

Quarterback Boo Jackson and defensive tackle Ernie Hodge, both seniors and starters, did not travel with the team yesterday.

Looking at Boo's stats, it seems like it would be ok either way. If he did or didnt make the trip.

One the one hand, their best quarterback is out of the game.

On the other hand, we now have to prepare our defense for a QB we can't scout because he doesn't play much.

I wouldn't say he (Phil Bates (http://espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=489456)) doesn't play "much" because he's the second leading rusher on their team. I think he's like a wildcat QB. He trails the RB by one yd...508 on the season...

YEEEA were screwed, unless we decided to wake up and stop the run.

We have always stopped running QB's, even this year! If he is a better runner than passer I am not to worried. If he was a pure passer I would be worried.

WKU's Jakes ripped us last year...but, for the most part, we have...
