Who would have thought that we would be ranked 100th after opening our season with wins over Marshall and Missouri? Who would have thought that we would lose to New Mexico State and Ark. State? How many still think that we can salvage a winning record?

1. Who all has UAB played and won against? Cincy, Baylor, TCU, Memphis, and Miss St? How many of those teams have winning records? Only 1...Memphis. The only quality game of their season was FSU...Hackney was laid out so many times in that game I'm surprised he even took the effort to get back up. They say they're the number 2 team in the state when their biggest game (USM) was Bammer's homecoming cupcake. UA's B, try as you like, but you can't compare apples to oranges.

2. After Mizzou and Marshall I wouldn't have thought we would have lost to NMSU and ASU. Though I remember a lot of us were nervous about NMSU. In hindsight it seems clear that our team still lacks the maturity to handle the accolades of the media and still stay focused on the task at hand.

3. Yes, I still think we can salvage a winning record. It won't be easy, but it can be done. But we have to take care of business week in and week out and not let past victories cloud our determination to win.
