Hey Trojans,

Some thoughts from a Ohio Alum. Should be a interesting game if both teams show up. I would probably rank OU as the 4th best team in the MAC (based on current play) behind N.Ill (were ranked 25th), Miami and Toledo. I would think you guys are probably 2nd in the SBC??? Just my opinion but after listening to several so called experts Troy should be a slight favorite. I hope to be in NO...regardless of the outcome it should be fun!

And hey don't leave your seats at halftime. I know that the "Sound of the South" is a great band but I think you will really enjoy the Marching 110.

Great looking band, except all flag dudes. A lot more athletic than TSOTWG that for sure. Quite frankly, Mr. Ho not want to see TSOTWG do this routine for fear of injuring someone or rendering the playing surface beyond repair.

The only thing that resembled that routine (maybe) was last year's TSOTWG 3rd quarter assault on the concession stands at the Mobile Bowl when word got out they were running out of nacho cheese sauce.

But to keep this on the football page:

LOL!!!! I wonder what ghetto song we will hear for the N.O. Bowl? Some Little John maybe? mixed in with some Baffoon Cookman dancing? Should fit in with the flava flav of New Orleans.

You're right about that! Looks very entertaining. You're also right about The Sound of The South, they are great. They focus more on the music than the visuals so between the two should be fun!

Too bad this game couldn't have been played a day or 2 before the sugar bowl...it probably would have been close to a sellout, or if anything a huge attendance. It would have been almost all Ohio fans, but it would have at least looked good on tv.

Ya know, that's not a bad idea. If you move the NO Bowl to something like December 29 I wonder how many "football fans" would show up that day and come to the game as a way to kick off their games 3 days later.

I guess the real question would be how fast the bowl committee can refurbish the bowl site and bowl-week facilities to another matchup. If that turn-around time is more then 2 days it probably wouldn't work.

The New Stadium the Jets and Giants Share did it in two days. Giants played on Sunday and 14 hours later the Stadium was set for the Jets Games. Could have been reversed.

If Alcorn and Alabama State were playing on the 15th, I would go early for sure.:thumb:

This year the Saints play on the 2nd and the Sugar Bowl is on the 4th. If our game was on the 28th or 29th, they would have plenty of time to convert the stadium.
