Mine would be as follows:

Guys, the past 2 games is a memory that none of us probably want to think about or even remember. Today is another day, and we have a great opportunity in front of us. We have a chance to go out, put the bad past memories in the past, and create great memories that we will want to remember for a life time. IT IS UP TO YOU!!!!! NOW LET'S GET OUT THERE, LET'S HIT THEM HARDER THAN THEY HIT US ON EVERY PLAY, LET'S WANT IT MORE ON EVERY PLAY THAN THEY WANT IT, AND LET'S PLAY EVERY PLAY LIKE IT IS THE LAST PLAY YOU WILL EVER [PLAY IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL! NOW GO OUT THERE, AND MAKE THAT OTHER TEAM WISH THEY HAD NEVER LEFT THEM HILLS OF KENTUCKY TO TAKE ON THE TROY TROJANS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would have to go with a great Patton speech. (parts are changed to protect the innocent)

"Men, this stuff that some sources sling around about TROY wanting out of this game, not wanting to fight, is a crock of bullsh*#. TROJANS love to fight, traditionally. All real TROJANS love the sting and clash of battle. You are here today for three reasons. First, because you are here to defend your HOME FIELD. Second, you are here for your own self respect, because you would not want to be anywhere else. Third, you are here because you are real men and all real men like to fight. When you, here, every one of you, were kids, you all admired the champion marble player, the fastest runner, the toughest boxer, the big league ball players, and the All-American football players. TROJAN NATION loves a winner. TROY will not tolerate a loser. TROJANS despise cowards. TROJANS play to win all of the time. I wouldn't give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That's why TROJANS have never lost a Sunbelt Championship; for the very idea of losing is hateful to a TROJAN."

"We have the finest food, the finest equipment, the best spirit, and the best TEAM in the world", “Why, by God, I actually pity those poor sons-of-*****es we're going up against. By God, I do".

"All of the real football heroes are not storybook players, either. Every single man on this team plays a vital role. Don't ever let up. Don't ever think that your job is unimportant. Every man has a job to do and he must do it. Every man is a vital link in the great chain. Every man does his job. Every man serves the whole. Every line, every player, is important in the vast scheme of this game. The Sound of the South is needed to supply the sounds of war to keep us rolling. The Cheerleader is needed to keep up fan spirit. Every last man on the sidelines has a job to do, even the one who fills our water cups to keep us from getting cramps."

"I don't want to hear anybody say "I am holding my position the best I can." We are not holding a damn thing. Let the Hilltopper’s do that. We are advancing constantly and we are not interested in holding onto anything, except the Hilltopper’s balls. We are going to twist his balls and kick the living sh*# out of him all of the time. Our basic plan of operation is to advance and to keep on advancing regardless of whether we have to go over, under, or through the opponent. We are going to go through him like crap through a goose; like sh*# through a tin horn!"

"There is one great thing that you men will all be able to say after this season is over and you are home once again. You may be thankful that twenty years from now when you are sitting by the fireplace with your son on your knee and he asks you what you did in the TROJAN 2010 season, you WON'T have to cough, shift him to the other knee and say, "Well, your dad played for a sh*# team in Louisiana." No, Sir, you can look him straight in the eye and say, "Son, your dad played with the Great TROY TROJANS!"

"In the Old Testament, Nehemiah had the task of building a stone wall around his city for protection. But he didn't have enough people , or resources, or time. But because each person worked on the stone wall that was in front of their house, they got it done in record time. That's what you're gonna do. On defense, you have to resolve nothing gets by you as an individual. Nothing gets by us as a team. I need you to build me a stone wall."

Guys, you all tried really, really hard this year but it just wasn't meant to be. I am proud that you have been able to maintain the best hair in the league-that is saying something with the adversity you have faced.

This Western KY team is very tough and nobody expects us to win anyway, so please continue to take little breaks on the field if you need them, even if that means you don't block or tackle. I just want you all to be happy and healthy out there so just do whatever you want.

Now go out there and have fun and be thinking about what flavor ice cream you wAnt to get after the game!

I would read them the following - it is from Don Yaeger, s sports writer and novelist:

Sixteen Consistent Characteristics of Greatness

HOW THEY THINK

1. It's personal - They hate to lose more than they love to win.
2. Rubbing Elbows - they understand the value of association.
3. Believe - They have faith in higher power.
4. Contagious Enthusiasm - They are positive thinkers...they are enthusisatic...and that enthusiasm rubs off.

HOW THEY PREPARE

5. Hope for the best, But... - they prepare for all possibilities before they step on the field.
6. What Off-Season - They are always working towards the next game...The goal is what's ahead, and there's always something ahead.
7. Visualize Victory - They see victory before the games begins.
8. Inner Fire - They use adversity as fuel.

HOW THEY WORK

9. Ice in their veins - They are risk-takers and don't fear making a mistake.
10. When all else fails - They know how and when to adjust their game plan.
11. Ultimate teammate - They will assume whatever role is necessary for the team to win.
12. Not just about the Benjamins - They don't play just for the money.

HOW THEY LIVE

13. Do Unto Others - They know character is defined by how they treat those who cannot help themselves.
14. When No One is watching – They are comfortable in the mirror... They live their life with integrity.
15. When everyone is watching - They embrace the idea of being a role model.
16. Records are made to be broken - They know their legacy isn't what they did on the field. They are well-rounded.

Lord Gawd, I want you to go out there and be the best, dangit! Put the hay in the barn! The moon has turned into a football and every momma hippopotomus loves her baby! I don't want you to work for Wal-Mart; I want you to own it! Now remember that you're the greatest and I love ya! Now if I can ever do anything for you, drop by and see me! You're the greatest! GET IT!

(Thanks Dr. Long!)

Don't be a dumb@$$. Just do it.

(Thanks Mr.Ford!)
