According to the Sunday edition of the Troy Messenger, there was an article written that Coach Blakeney announced that there will be a shakeup of the offense this week! He was quoted as saying that he could not look the defense in the face if he didn't. I looked to see if the Messenger website had posted this story, but they have not, but it was in the paper itself. Sounds like Coach is doing what needed to be done WEEKS AGO!!!!

Maybe that means that just for the hell of it, he'll start D.T. at quarterback. Or maybe we're going back to the Trojan Spread or the rabbit offense (or whatever they used to call it).

Heck, go with the Triple option. Put DT like Hector says and run the plays that Turk used to run. Can't be any worse than now and maybe DeWhitt will break 2000.

Give Meadows a shot and see what he can do. Wasn't he taking most of the snaps by the end of spring anyway with the first team?

We are in trouble. We have more athletic guys on the intramural fields at Troy. Better playcalling, too. How many times did we see Leak take a three step drop, start birddogging Samples, then just sort of float backwards until he was sacked or threw the ball into triple coverage? Think about the quarterbacks that have beat us this year. They can elude the rush and roll out of the pocket and still make accurate passes on the run...

What happened to throwing to the TE? What happened to throwing to the backs out of the backfield? I mean man (came close to cussing again) how come we don't just dump the ball of to Dawkins or Richardson just to keep the linebackers honest? Our backs have been successful in our vanilla rushing attack, only because they are that good. Seems like every play they were just running off the strong side tackle and waiting for something to open up. Imagine if we could run some toss sweeps or options or anything different? Bring back Nebraska's old playbook. Maybe we can just run the Samples pass to RIchardson 5 times a game. That play has won 75% of our games over the last two years hasn't it?

I hate to say it, but I highly doubt that Meadows will get to play...I talked to several of my friends (haven't gotten to speak to Carl), but they all said that Meadows is being redshirted this year, so he won't play this year, especially since we're not goin bowling...DT will probably get the start...
