Everyone:

What will our weakest link be on our 2005 squad?
I think we need our receivers to step up. But, which WR's will do just that.

The bad news is that almost every skill position will be young or relatively unproven. We do have a couple of experienced linemen, Sean Dawkins has shown some things out of the FB position, and JE Cray and Eugene Hampton have shown flashes of talent from time to time. But outside of them, we will have new faces at QB, RB, TE, WR. Way too many question marks to take this unit seriously, even if we had an offensive juggernaut already. Betterson and Richardson's carries were the only thing that we could count on until DT and co. made a few plays sporadically last year.

The good news is that we have had the success we have had basically due to the strength of our defense and also because of the punting unit led by Thomas Olmstead. Our offense has been one of the worst in the nation (or dare I say world) over the last few years. Their job has basically been to eat clock, not run backwards, not give the ball away until the 4th down, and occasionally score once in every five times the defense has set us up inside the opponent's 10-yard line.

So does this mean that Banks will not be moved to the QB position? It was said that he might due to the "loss" of DT. I wouldnt see why as we seem to be good at QB.

Banks is currently a WR that may get moved back to QB if need be.
