Hey guys, figured I'd post this here. My buddy and I found a stray kitten at his house hiding inside the wheel of his car last night. She's a little white female kitten. Looks like she's been abandoned her whole (short) life. Got a couple little scuffs on her and it looks like her foot was broken at one time, but she can walk on it. I already have 2 cats and a dog, so I cannot keep her. I cleaned her up, gave her a nice shower (that was a trip), and she has been fed. She looks a lot better now than when she was found. I'm definitely not a heartless person, so I could not stand to see this kitten so sad.

The point to this post: If anyone in the Dothan area would like a cute little white female kitten, please let me know. Either PM me on here or hit me up on AIM at UAEngineer113. I really don't want to have to take her to the Humane Society as I'm sure they've got their fair share of kittens and she might have to be taken to the shelter to be put down.

Please, anyone?

I sure am glad my wife does not read this forum or I would have another pet. Seriously, we have more than enough or I would be happy to take it. The last I heard the Wiregrass Humane Society was not accepting cats so whatever you do, don't take it to the pound or it will be put to sleep for sure. Call the Eagle and place an ad. I think the ads for free pets are free to list. Also, you could put a listing on the board at PetsMart. As long as the animals are free, you can list it there.

Actually, by now...I think my mom's attached and wants to keep it. Dad's definitely not happy...

War, couldn't you get the kitty to be a playmate for one of your... ummm other pets?

Yeah! Believe it or not, I have heard stories of irresponsible owners of large pythons answering ads in the paper for free kittens. It's a sad practice and if I knew of anyone doing it, they would be turned in for sure. I know food is expensive for snakes (Lord knows I am aware with all of my breeders) but if you can't afford to care for them properly, then you don't need one. Truthfully, about 75% of the people that have snakes have no business owning them. I'm very picky about who I sell to and that's another reason the snakes I sell are in the several thousand dollar range. The people that invest that kind of money generally take care of the animals very well. I'm sure there is the exception though, but I would rather not know about it. I've found that just because someone has a little money does not always mean they have sense (Mike Tyson).
