As I expected, Troy's baseball team did not receive an at-large bid to the NCAA's and the Trojans officially ended their season at 37-21. However, Florida Atlantic (which finished tied for 2nd with UCF and reached the championship game of the A-Sun Tournament) did, but their past tournament history (including winning the Tuscaloosa Regional in 2002 and advancing to super-regional that year) helped their cause.

I'm ok with Troy not going, but how in the world does Auburn go? They didn't even make the SEC tournament. Also, to cap it off, they got a #2 seed.

That SMELLS!

Im fine with Troy not getting there as I knew if we didnt make it to saturday we wouldnt have a chance, but come on... AU a 2 seed WTF

The SEC is hosting four regionals: Florida, LSU, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

This is just another reason to be glad we are getting out of the Atlantic Sun. The Sun Belt is a much better conference. But, we did kill ourself down the stretch.

How in the heck....

I mean Auburn getting a bid over us and South Alabama getting a high bid when we swept them this year? I mean good lord, did the A-Sun even lobby an inch for us?

We didn't sweep USA...they beat our asses in the first game.

We should also remember that Auburn beat us twice. We just didn't play well down the stretch. UCF didn't get a bid either. Shows that the NCAA put a big emphasis on our conference tourney.

The Sun Belt landed two teams in the NCAA tourney (USA and LA-Lafayette) just as the A-Sun did. There is little difference, if any, between the A-Sun and the Sun Belt in baseball.

I hope that USA whips the Barners down in Tallahassee on Friday and that the Cajuns spank Bammer in New Orleans. I'm also pulling for our A-Sun brethren as well.

Our out of conference record was not impressive the least bit, and we did not finish well during the stretch. When we play teams from power conferences especially the SEC we have to win. South won their conference tournament that's why that made it. This was and exciting baseball season though, we were predicted to finish in the middle and we won the conference regular season, we shocked the conference so we still need to be proud of the team and the direction the program is headed. Not to many schools can say they expect to be at the top in every sport like we can at Troy. Every year we expect the Baseball, Softball, both Basketball teams and the Football team to compete at the top of the conference not just show up. At least we do not have to suffer threw the longest losing streak in 1-A like UCF, (15 straight football). And last but not least we are done with the ATLANTIC SUN !!!!!!!!!!!

Although Auburn's conference record kept them from making the SEC tourney, their OOC record gave them a very high RPI. On the whole the SEC was the #1 conference (RPI). They deserved to get the teams in that they did.

I call B*llSh*t

Their conference schedule is what made their RPI high. In the conference they were only 13-17.

Their OOC was not that strong.

3-0 vs Hofstra (whoopie!)
1-2 vs FSU (ok)
1-0 vs Mercer (again whoopie!)
3-0 vs VCU
1-1 vs Elon (ZZZZZZ!)
0-1 vs South Alabama (good)
2-1 vs Clemson (good)
3-0 vs VMI (ZZZZZZ!)
1-0 vs Samford
2-0 vs Troy

It's ALL about the MONEY!
