Quite a statement. How ould you know about this? Either you have a great source of inside info relative to DT, (this somehow I doubt), or you are Meadows uncle. If I am DT, I'd be chomping at the bit to play right now. And, if Blakeney didn't play mr, based on the brilliance of the guy in front of me, I'd be pissed as well. But, time will tell.

His mom *****ing about his playing time? First of all, the kid's personal situation is such that he does not have a thing to do with his mom. Very unfortunate situation, and I will not go into it for DTs sake, but your friend is mistaken. His info is not solid. The kid is taken care of by godparents. His mom is not in any sort of position to give a rat's a$$ about his playing time.

But, none of this really matters. What matters is that Blakeney has said all along that he is the two-deep guy behind Leak. Now that Leak has proven himself incapable of leading the team, DT deserves the shot. And, there is no reason whatever why he shouldn't get it. he is the most talented recruit we have signed at TROY. Ever. He is young. Let him grow into the job now.

Pardon my minor mistake...I assumed it was his mother that called, but SOMEONE called Blakeney and said "THIS IS DT MCDOWELL..." blah blah blah, *****ing *****ing *****ing...he wasn't even here for camp this summer...just showed up, looked decent on one day's practice and took over Carl's spot....he's proven to be useless this year, put Carl in.

I definitley agree and think Carl Meadows should start this weekend. Leak is no good and we all know that. DT played horrible the times he was on the field so far this season and he is way too short!

So yes, I want Carl Meadows to start in Death Valley! Can't be worse than whats going on! Give Carl a chance!

In my informed and humble opinion, I believe that Carl should get the nod against LSU. Something has to be done offensively, and most noticably at quarterback. Carl has been shafted by the highly touted DT's arrival at Troy. But the fact is that Carl looked very impressive at the end of spring, and that DT came basically the week the fall season started. The playbook is severely restricted with DT.

Carl may not be a better athlete, but I honestly believe that he is the quarterback that can read defenses and through his progression of recievers the best. We dont need a super-hero, we just need a QB that can manage the game and not lose it. I like Leak, he is a great guy, but 4-19 @ arkansas state was not a good showing. Many times he does force throws, which is never a good policy. I hope that the coaches do the right thing, and give Carl his shot. Let our running backs and defense win the game, let Carl MANAGE it.

needs to come to the line with a commanding authority of the offense. It seems at times that Leak is like a high school QB who has chosen the receiver he will throw to when he comes to the line. He cant get the ball out of his hands quick enough. Let DT play. Let Carl play. Let them split time. I really don't care but just don't let Leak screw up another game. We need someone who will go to the line, read the defense, check to a play that will work based on the coverage, the blitz package, etc the defense is showing then run the play and have the confidence it will work. They definitely need to check out of whatever Fleet-ing-wood calls. We all know his play calls are to predictable. If you keep going by what Fleet-ing-wood is calling you might as well line up on first down and punt the ball. Anyway let the QB (other than Leak) get the time to play and develop a rhythm so the offense can develop a rhythm. The two go hand in hand. DT has made mistakes but also has not been given the time to develop the rhythm needed to get the offense going. Let Carl get his chance as well see what happens because it can't get any worse. AND LET DEWHITT RUN THE BALL AND THEN RUN THE BALL AGAIN AND AGAIN...................As always GO TROJANS, beat LS(WHO)!!!!!!!!!
