I hope the Trojans have a long sit down and reavaluate themselves. They have truly embarrassed themselves and brought shame to the program. To me, this loss negates the Missouri win and all others. You cant lose to the worst 2 teams in the US. Leak has had a more negative impact on this team than good. Fleetwood needs to reavaluate as well. Piss poor football Trojans. Hope to see you salvage something this year. I hang my head in shame......

say goodbye to large home crowds and large alumni donations...losing games like this will gain no support or money...way to go losers...sorry...just extremely disappointed in what I thought was the best team Troy ever had....guess I was wrong again for betting on the Trojans...

Excellent to have Troy in the conference. ASU is fortunate to have won tonight. We worked out butts off. Again - welcome to the Sun Belt - I look forward to many close fun games in the future.
Having Troy in the SBC certainly enhances the conference. Again, welcome, and congrats on your season - OOC wins against Missou and Marshall are something to be very proud of.
Shake off the loss tonight - We shook off several tough ones including the embarrassment last week.
Best of luck and welcome to a very classy bunch from Troy.
Go AState and SBC and go Troy - we will be pulling for you the rest of the way out.

WadeASU,
The difference is that you guys are winning the games that are important. Missouri and Marshall don't mean anything when you go 1-2 in conference play. Spurrier always used to say that no wins were more important than winning the conference games.
Troy and Troy fans EXPECTED to go to New Orleans for that bowl game this year right from the start. We have dealt with a horrid offense for 3-4 years now and we want to see it get better. We were told by coaches and players that it was going to be better during the preseason---every game we sweat out the offense. AND IT IS SUCH A SHAME FOR THOSE DEFENSIVE PLAYERS WHO PLAY THEIR BUTT OFF TO SIT ON THE SIDELINES AND ARE EXPECTED TO COME IN AND WIN EVERY GAME ON DEFENSE!!!!!!!!!!!

You cant lose to the worst 2 teams in the US.
You are in a conference now so a piece of advice. Pay some serious attention to the teams in the conference and know your opposition rather than relying on some comedy writer for ESPN to know what is going on.
Yeah ASU was 1-5 coming in but had 351 yards passing against Mizzou and despite an early pick returned for a TD was in position to cut a 35-17 lead to 35-24 when we picked up three straight motion penalties and had to settle for a FG and then missed a chance to cut it to 35-24 when a freshman WR fumbled at their one trying to force the play into the end zone.
Then we led Memphis for 57 minutes before a fumble return for a TD followed by a tip-tip-tip interception that set up the final score.
Against Ole Miss we led until a pick set up a very short TD and then a bad snap in the shot gun setup another. We gave Ole Miss 14 points in a game we lost by 7.
ASU has been a team on the verge of doing some damage if they could just stop doing so much damage to themself.
Tonight Troy experienced a taste of that sort of luck.

Thanks for the post, arkstfan. Kudos to your guys for winning. But. I've got news for you. Our pathetic offense made your (normally) poor defense look like world beaters. Our play calling and schemes are not working. Neither is our starting QB, who showed no leadership. You will find no one on this forum who is pleased with the TROY offensive effort. If all we can hang on ARKST is 9 points. we deserve nothing. Its just a shame that our D has to work their butts off for nothing.

While I can see the damage Arkansas State did to itself last weekend in it's 45-17 loss to Middle Tennessee, I can also see where our 25th-ranked offense exploited what was the weakest defense we would face to date.
I think something else you are seeing is the Sun Belt teams are watching the tapes and are learning their conference foes and are learning how to exploit their weaknesses.
One other thing I think you are seeing is how unpredictable this conference is. I never would have seen Idaho follow up a home loss to ULM with a home victory over Louisiana-Lafayette which is a team we lost to. Then ULM turns around after trailing Florida International and pulls that one out.
Right now, I don't know how things will turn out. All I know is that if we win out and ASU loses one more and North Texas loses two more, then we go to New Orleans by virtue of conference win-percentage.
But I'll just hold my breath 'til then. We got Idaho at home this weekend and Big Boi from Outkast is performing a post-game concert. We still have attendance issues to work on ourselves.

It is an old saying that you can't hide freshmen in the secondary. MTSU exploited that while running much less effectively against ASU than Troy did.
