A long-time leader, professor, scholar and colleague in the Sorrell College of Business, and a person closely associated with its highly respected accounting program, has tendered an announcement of his impending retirement. Dr. Tom Ratcliffe will retire from Troy University on September 1, 2005. He will not be simply “hanging it up,” rather, he will become even more engaged in one of his two passions in life, the accounting profession, and more specifically, the AICPA.
We are going to miss him, enormously, but not right away. He will be active with Troy through the end of August, continuing to serve this institution and his profession with scholarly research, professional publication, and national-level service and leadership. We wish him well.
