From the herd board, here is the take of a Herd fan on the most recent controversy involving the player/thugs who hit a woman on the head with a beer bottle. The attitude of this guy seals it. Marshall will try to win at all costs.

I am sure that if we just stayed with having a "clean" program then you wouldn't want to give money to that either because then we would suck and become another Buffalo!!! Would you be excited to give money that kind of program? I would say no! Donations have increased over the last few years because we are successful. I will take a few morons now and then to have a winning program that is recognized nationwide than to have a bunch of straight A students that suck a@@ on the football field! Wake up guys this stuff happens at every big school and now it happens a couple times here and everyone thinks we have the dirtiest program in the nation!!!! Chill out!

I like it when we have student athletes who actually graduate and can actually play football! I think we have both of those at our university. Not everyone will be a prime time football players..yes football is an important image to the school..but so are academics...what a bunch of idiots (Marshall fans)

I travelled to the Marshall game a few years back and didn't feel in any way that their fans reflected the views expressed above. Every program has some real nutcases for fans (I'll refrain from naming people that post here occassionally). Whenever I wore TSU gear in the DC area, I always ran into Marshall fans who chatted with me about the two programs and were very respectful.

Free Shoes University to Criami. did you all hear what went down at florida last saturday? frat students were picking on florida players and ends up channing crowder (all-american LB) is suspended for escalating the situation. THEN, zook went and gave them a little speach at the house and told them to "quit picking on my players." :lol:

I thought that was pretty humerous. I can't imagine why in the world a coach would do something like that...then again....we are talking about Zook!
