For those of you who may not know, Laura Lee Holman lost her mother in a car accident sometime last night. Laura Lee is a sophomore guard on our women's basketball team.

Please keep Laura and her family in your thoughts and prayers for a while.

That's horrible! Especially right here before tournament time for her. Any word on if she's still playing in the tournament or not? I know that sounds kind of rude to be asking. It's just that I've heard stories of other athletes losing family members around game times as well and it was always interesting to see what they choose to do.

My thoughts and prayer are definetly with her right now! The TROY family loves you Laura Lee!

It is my understanding that Laura Lee won't be playing. I believe that Coach Murphy gave the team a choice whether or not to play, and she called and told them that she wanted them to. But, I think the timing would possibly conflict with any arrangements that might be made.

None of this is fact though, so don't quote me on it.
