The only reason we made the tournament was because other teams played their way out of the tournament. We didn't play our way in, other teams played their way out.

If they played their way out, then someone had to be in the thing...we obviously did SOMETHING that deserved getting in. I'm not saying we had a picture-perfect season or that we should've done this or that. I'm just saying that I think that we played hard despite having a rough year. They made the tournament, just be proud of them for that.

I mean, 3 months ago, there were polls on this board about how we wouldn't even win 5 games. If anything, this team proved those people wrong, didn't they? They made the tournament (albeit barely), but give the guys some credit.

Troy came an inch from defeating the No. 1 seed (even after missing free throws, an easy lay-up and a few other plays). That in itself shows Troy deserved to be there.

Had they won today, the Trojans could have won the whole thing.

I am really disappopinted in how Troy seemed to go nowhere, recruting wise, after two years of post-season play. How did we not improve after two excellent seasons?

And now Maestri and company have to start all over again, losing four seniors - while facing a supposedly tougher conference.
