Someone please tell this guy to quit talking some much during the games. His job is to add info to what Barry is saying, but he ends up talking more than Barry does. I couldn't tell you how many times Barry would miss calling a play because Josh was busy getting his two cents worth.

I think Josh does a great job and know that Barry thinks he is a tremendous asset to the broadcast as well. Not only is broadcasting a hard job when you are winning handily, it is even more difficult to do so when you are watching a game slip away that means a bid to the conference tourney. Why don't you get something else to complain about, or put in your application for the job!
Oh wait! I have the perfect person for the job, TropSportsEditor to the rescue!

Do you honestly think that Barry would say otherwise about a Troy University employee? Barry is smarter than that.
I am not complaining about him, merely stating how I feel about his approach. It's not like anything will change merely because I say so...if it did, Marcus Paramore would no longer be the announcer for basketball.

Yes, because God forbid anybody complained about anything Troy-related.
It's called criticism. He's a big boy, he can deal with it just like everybody else.
I love the "well if you're so great, why don't YOU apply for the job?" argument. I'm not an announcer, but I know a good one when I hear one. Lay off until you can come with some meat in your argument.

I really don't see what Josh does wrong. He hasn't been doing b-ball broadcasts for long, so he is learning. But I do listen to all of the away games that I can, and he just doesn't seem that awful to me. I guess I'll try to pay more attention to his broadcast tomorrow.

Oh, I'm not criticizing Josh, personally. My argument is against athleticsupporter's argument.
Josh has always seemed cool to me. I think he does a fine job, butg I'm not going to villify someone for daring to criticize him. Everyone in the public eye/ear is subject to criticism.

He is actually pretty good at what he does, but he has one major flaw. He is too long winded. He is there to support Barry in calling the game, not taking over the broadcast.

While I haven't noticed that, everyone I know would say that is something I can't complain about. Those of us who are long-winded really don't realize it sometimes! If he is that way, though, then Barry ought to point it out to him.

Nice try. You have to work harder to get me to bite.
