Would UCLA and Notre Dame (Both 6-6) have a chance in getting the GMAC bowl before Troy (9-3).

I thought BCS teams (like UCLA and Notre Dame) even at 6-6 would have first pick over a non-BCS 9-3 team?

All teams with a winning record have to be placed in a bowl before a 6-6 at large team can be selected no matter who they are. Now if the bowl can work it to get the 6-6 team they want after everything has been picked over that was 7-5 or better then they can try it.
