View Full Version : Did anyone hear WSFAs Derrick Stier (sp?) last nite?

He said that he has heard that LB is going to retire soon. He is the first person in the media I have heard say this.

I have heard that LB did take the "opt out" for retirement awhile back so who knows....

Just trying to find out.

I hope he does stay awhile longer myself.

LB can stay in the DROP program with the State of Alabama for up to five years but he must stay in the program for at least three. He can only enter the program once.

Thanx!! I have never really understood how it works. My boss's boss had to retire a couple of years ago becasue of this. However, he still works "part time" as a "consultant".

You are not "required" to retire upon entering the DROP program but most people do because you can only take advantage of this once in your career.
