I know they are building/adding onto Mcartha, but what is next. Clements has been completed, and TU Administration will be getting ancey as there is only one construction program going on, so whats Next?

I think Trojan Arena might be getting a face lift, or possibly and much needed, Bibb Graves.

A Trojan Arena renovation with some new skyboxes would be sweet, wouldn't it?

Yeah that would be awsome!! The only thing that would be lacking would be having baseball skyboxes for everyone!!

Bibb Graves is in line for some renovations and rumors I've heard are that Troy Arena is the next project for athletic department.

I thought I heard that all the dorms would eventually be made into suite rooms, and that Dill Hall apartments would be rebuilt.

... Maybe my imagination.

I remember some classic parties in 115 and 214 Dill! One was during hurricane Frederick! Guess I just dated myself.

Last I heard, Dill hall was scheduled to either be torn down and rebuilt or completly rennovated.

Yea, the word on Dill is that they're taking opinions from different sources as to what is to be done with it...it seems it's definitely next in line, but whether it will be torn down or not..it will probably be a few years. I personally would love to see Alumni completely renovated, in the Clements style. Clements was basically Alumni's baby twin in construction style, so it's proven that it can be renovated successfully.

Once the construction of the Student Technology Building is completed, Bibb Graves should be next in line for "Total" renovation. There is a small phase of remodeling starting in the next few weeks, but that is not to be confused with "Total" renovation. Dill is on the schedule for demolision/renovation, but no timeline has been set for it. Word is for it to become a "Utility" building for multiple purposes. McCartha will be torn down and a new building erected in its place with a slightly different layout. Also in the works is a NEW structure for Alumni Affairs across the road from the stadium at the corner of Highland and George Wallace. As for Trojan Arena, I have not heard anything as to that construction. Also in the works are new Fraternity Houses over by the Lagoon. No real schedule as to date on those though. By the way...for those curious...Troy University is in process of adding some strategic areas to the "Wireless" network. Those areas will include the Library areas of Wallace Hall, Trojan Express and Study areas of the Adams Center, and Stewart Dining Hall. These have been identified as key areas for the first phase of the project and I understand the IT dept will see how well this is accepted and begin other phases as funding and identification permit. Be forewarned though, this is just a test and due to the nature of the testing, they may not implement any further areas to the "Wireless".

I think alumni hall needs help.
and from what i hear I think Trojan Arena will be left as is. But expect a new arena in the not to distant future (say the next 5 years)
Bibb Graves is well Bibb Graves

Bibb Graves is in desparate need of an overhall. Heck I even heard rumblings about it getting remodeled when I was in school. Also, personally, I think Smith needs a good bit of work, especially if it still has that funky red carpet in some of the classrooms. I always hated classes in there, I always got stuck in some room with no windows and the ventilation is terrible. Although, I was very pleased with the results with Clements, it's come a long way from when I lived there. Too bad no one else will get to read my old roomate's (SB   )graffiti anymore.

Yeah this was done over the summer. So check that one off your list.

I had a chat this afternoon with Scott Farmer ( Senior Associate Director of Athletics). There are plans to build a NEW arena, but he stated it could be a minimum of 4 years down the road. He did say, they finalized, just today, a pressbox, bleachers, and restroom/concession facilities for the track that should start sometime around the first of the year. As to the Smith post....Only the EAST wing got a face lift over the summer. It was not completely gutted, however, it was completely reworked. All the floors now are Black and White Tile and most of the classrooms were resized for better accomidation of teaching. They are also adding a new English Computing Lab that comes in addition to the previous lab already in place. I will say...the West wing needs to be overhauled as well, but no talks about that yet. Anyhow, back to fighting the Student Virus problem.
